Multicent introducing Frictional, Contactless Tap to Pay Payments platform on iOS and Android device in US, Europe and Africa this Summer, 2022

Multicent announced today is launching Frictional contactless Tap to Pay on iPhone and android user. The new contactless Tap to pay will empower millions of merchants and small businesses- to large retailers across the US, Canada, Europe and African to easily turn their smartphone ( iOS device and android device) into card reader to seamlessly and securely accept payemt on the smartphone, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets through a simple tap to their iPhone and androad device — no additional hardware or payment terminal needed. Tap to Pay on iPhone and androad device will be available for payment platforms and app developers to integrate into their iOS and android apps and offer as a payment option to their business customers. Multicent will let their merchant payment platform to offer Tap to Pay on smartphone to their business customers, including the Shopify Point of Sale app.


Once Tap to Pay becomes available, At checkout, the merchant will simply prompt the customer to hold their smartphone device, their contactless credit or debit card, or other digital wallet near the merchant’s Smartphone, and the payment will be securely completed using Near-field communication(NFC technology). that let NFC device communicate with each other. No additional hardware is needed to accept contactless payments through Tap to Pay on all smartphone, so businesses across the world can accept payments from wherever they do business through Multicent payment platform.


According to Multicent CEO Joshua S. Oduyemi and Fred Wang Head of Engineering and Product Development says ; It will be launching its first direct-to-customer on iPhone and Android app in the summer of 2022 to allow any business of all size to accept contactless payments in store, over the phone or on the move, anywhere in the world with the tap of a card or smartphone, without the need for new equipment. In doing so, we’re helping businesses scale and grow faster

Multicent also partners with POS (Point of Sale) vendors, merchandize, banks, telcos, and other fintech's and payment platforms who integrate its tech to offer their merchant customers ‘Tap to Pay’ facilities, as part of its embedded finance solutions on Multicent payment platform

Only the first $250,000 in combined deposits at any partner bank will be subject to FDIC coverage. FDIC coverage does not apply to deposits while at the Clearing Bank or any account at an intermediary depositary institution. Deposits that are in the Settlement Account while in the process of being swept to or from a partner bank will be subject to FDIC coverage of up to $250,000 per customer (combined with any other customer deposits at the bank holding the Settlement Account).
